Hello, fellow readers! October was a weird reading month. Yes, I read more books than I have in the past few months, but the quality of those books was lacking and I did not get to some of the books I wanted to read during the spooky season. I participated in Nightmareathon and read two books, meeting every challenge except for reading a host recommended thriller.
Hello, fellow readers! It is the spookiest week of the year, and I am doing the Goosebumps Book Tag today in the spirit of the season!
Hello, fellow readers! It seems pretty common in the bookish community to be intimidated by “big books,” but I can’t help but wonder if I am missing out on some hidden gems because I avoid these books. I tend to put off reading books with 400+ pages, mostly because I think of the time spent on that one book and feel like I’m missing out on other books! I also worry I will get bored with the storyline and not finish the book any way, so I just never start reading it! Today I am going to discuss the top ten books from my TBR that I am too intimidated to read. Most of the books on this list have very mixed reviews, partly due to their size, which makes me hesitant to devote time to these books.
Hello, fellow readers! I have been trying to put my Scribd subscription to better use lately and picked a YA mystery/thriller to listen to during my commute. I have been wanting to read This Lie Will Kill You by Chelsea Pitcher for awhile now, and fall seemed like the perfect time for this book.
Hello, fellow readers! It has been way too long since my last review. I think I just needed a little bit of a break in September, but now I am trying to catch up on the books I have read recently. I had a Kindle Unlimited trial subscription until recently, so I read several books on there in September. I found A House at the Bottom of a Lake by Josh Malerman and decided to give it a try.
Hello, fellow readers! I am two days late on Tag Tuesday. Today’s tag is the Trick or Treat Book Tag. I did this last year during Blogoween and really liked the concept. The idea of the tag is to list some books that you have read and you decided if they were a trick (did not live up to your expectations) or a treat (met or exceeded your expectations. So let’s get started!
Hello, fellow readers! October is one of my favorite months of the year-Halloween, fall festivals, cooler weather, sweaters. I typically save my spookiest books for this time of year. Today I will be discussing thirteen books I want to read during the fall season. Most of these books are backlist books. I am trying to catch up on my TBR since I haven’t been too interested in new releases this year.
