Book List | Down the TBR Hole #4

Welcome to another edition of Down the TBR Hole! This will be the fourth month that I have attempted to clean up my TBR list on Goodreads.

So basically the idea is to clean up your Goodreads TBR because we are all guilty of adding books to Goodreads and before you know it, there are 200 books on your list and you don’t even remember what a third of them are about!

How it works:

  • Go to your Goodreads want-to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

January Reading Wrap Up | Books I Read This Month

My goal this month was to read four books, and I am happy to report I exceeded my goal with the help of audiobooks. January’s reading started off strong but then after my first three books, I had some very disappointing reads. But by the end of the month, I had read one of my most anticipated books of 2019 and ended the month on a high note.

Monthly Favorites | January 2019

Review | In the Tall Grass by Stephen King and Joe Hill

Hello, fellow readers! I read my first novella of 2019 last week, and it was quite disappointing. I was intrigued because the video said it was such a shocking story and they didn’t know how a movie could be made from concept. And then they left things at that. So of course, I was curious and found the novella on Scribd.

Review | Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson

Hello, fellow readers! I have finished my first audiobook of 2019. I decided to try Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson when I found it on Scribd. I recently found out the book was part of a series, and the sequel releases this month.

You can try Scribd FREE for 60 days by signing up here. Scribd is a website with unlimited audiobooks and eBooks for only $8.99 a month. Supposedly, the service is not truly unlimited because if you are a high volume user, you will have trouble getting books. I know some people have had negative experiences with Scribd, but I have not had any issues during my first two months. I’ve listened to several audiobooks and read an eBook without issue. I did notice a few of my saved books are no longer available, but they were also Christmas books, so I am not reading those right now anyway.
