Review | Theme Music by T. Marie Vandelly

Hello, fellow readers! I am a bit behind on reviews after travelling for a week, but I did finish Theme Music by T. Marie Vandelly last week. Dutton Books was kind enough to reach out and ask me if I was interested in this debut title. The book was on my radar, but I was unsure of what the book was-horror, mystery, psychological thriller? The answer? The book is a bit of all three!

Theme Music is available to purchase now!

Discussion | Books on a Budget, Part 1

Hello, fellow readers! I have seen several posts from book bloggers or bookstagrammers asking how people acquire so many books! It is a valid question and one that I myself was asking about a year ago when I first joined the bookish community. This will be a five-part series as I share some of the many ways I acquire or read books for free or almost free!

Review | It’s Not Summer Without You by Jenny Han

Hello, fellow readers! After finishing The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han, I decided to jump right in to the sequel since it is also on Scribd. Based on the formula Han followed in her other trilogy, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, I expected a love triangle to pop up in this series.

**Spoilers for The Summer I Turned Pretty and It’s Not Summer Without You are in this review.

Review | The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han

Hello, fellow readers! Last summer, I binged Jenny Han’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy. I desperately wanted more from those characters, but there are no more books. Instead, I decided to listen to Han’s Summer trilogy, which was written before TATBILB, on Scribd.

Review | Vicious by V.E. Schwab

Hello, fellow readers! Today I am reviewing a super hyped book in the bookish community. Vicious by V.E. Schwab has been on my radar for the past year, but I kept putting it off because of all the hype around the book and the sequel that released last year. I have only read two books by V.E./Victoria Schwab, but I am forever a fan after reading Vicious.

Book List | Down the TBR Hole #7

Hello, fellow readers! I have been just over a month since my last Down the TBR Hole post. I really like to do these because it helps me clean up my Goodreads account. Hopefully y’all enjoy reading them!

So basically the idea is to clean up your Goodreads TBR because we are all guilty of adding books to Goodreads and before you know it, there are 200 books on your list and you don’t even remember what a third of them are about!

How it works:

  • Go to your Goodreads want-to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

Tag Tuesday | Mid-Year Book Freakout

Hello, fellow readers! I did this tag last year right after I started my blog, so I thought I would do it again this year. It doesn’t feel like we have made it halfway through 2019, yet here we are! So far, I have read 23 books, which is just under halfway to my goal of 50 books. I still think I can catch up and finish 50 books by the end of the year!

May/June Reading Wrap Up | Books I Read This Month

Hello, fellow readers! I am happy to report I finally beat the reading slump in June. I finished one book in May and four books in June. Three of the five books I’ve read in the past two months were five stars, so even though my numbers aren’t impressive, I am happy with what I read.
