Tag Tuesday | Mid-Year Book Freakout

Hello, fellow readers! This will be my third year to do the Mid-Year Book Freakout Tag. It is honestly so fun to compare this tag from year to year. I have already read 30 books in 2020. My goal was to read 40 books this year because I wanted to tackle some “big books” on my TBR, but I am thinking I’ll increase my goal back to 50 since I am ahead of schedule due to quarantine.

Here are all of the books I have read so far this year.

Best book you’ve read so far in 2020?

Home Before Dark by Riley Sager

Best sequel you’ve read so far in 2020?

One of Us is Next by Karen McManus

New release you haven’t read yet, but want to?

Little Secrets by Jennifer Hillier

Most anticipated release for the second half of 2020?

One by One by Ruth Ware

Biggest disappointment?

Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant

Biggest surprise?

Dear Emmie Blue by Lia Louis

Favorite new author?

Lisa Jewell

Newest fictional crush?

I still do not have one.

Newest favorite character?

Emmie Blue

Book that made you cry?

Dear Emmie Blue by Lia Louis

Book that made you happy?

The Guest List by Lucy Foley (This was the first book I had read in several weeks that I actually enjoyed, so that made me happy.)

Favorite book to movie adaptation you saw this year?

I can’t think of a book to movie adaptation I’ve watched this year.

Favorite review you’ve written this year?

The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black

Most beautiful book you bought so far this year?

I honestly haven’t bought many books this year. I did snag an ebook of Gods of Jade and Shadow by Silvia Moreno-Garcia and I’m obsessed with that cover.

What books do you need to read by the end of the year?

I want to read a book by John Marrs before the end of the year. I also want to read more fantasy books.
