Hello, fellow readers! Today I am bringing you The Christmas Tag for Blogmas! I hope you enjoy reading about my holiday traditions and memories. Answer a few (or all!) of the questions in the comments or post it on your blog and tag me so I can read your answers.
Use one noise to describe how excited you are for Christmas.
I’m too tired to even make an excited noise right now! Too much going on in too short of a time period right now!
Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
Last year, my husband and I had our Christmas together on Christmas Eve.
What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?
Gingerbread houses with family, watching Christmas movies, going to look at Christmas lights with friends, and all the food!
Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
What is your favorite Christmas film?
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
Where do you usually spend your holiday?
Christmas Eve is spent at my cousin’s house for Christmas brunch, church, and my Mimi’s house. Sometimes we also swing by a gathering for my husband’s family. This year Christmas day should be more low-key than usual. We only have two stops: my parents’ house and my in-laws’ house.
What is your favorite Christmas song?
Carol of the Bells by Transiberian Orchestra
What is your all-time favorite holiday food/sweet treat?
I can honestly say I don’t have one. I always look forward to my grandfather’s cheeseball. And I think Christmas brunch is my favorite meal out of the two days of constant eating.
Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
Honestly, I used to love giving gifts, but it gets harder and harder every year to find something for people because I refuse to buy gift cards. If Christmas is going to be exchanging gift cards, I would rather not do gifts at all and just gather with family.
What is your favorite thing about Christmas?
The two week vacation LOL Idk there’s a certain feeling I get at Christmas that I wish I could bottle up and use year-round.
When do you start getting excited for Christmas?
November 1! And then all the December obligations set in, and I am not as excited anymore. We stay too busy during December to truly enjoy the holidays to me.
What is the best Christmas gift you’ve ever received?
My husband surprise me with a new pair of Uggs last year. I was not expecting it at all!
What is the worst present you’ve ever received?
Probably every Dirty Santa gift EVER. I never come home with a good gift.
As a kid, did a sibling ever receive a present that you wished was for you?
I’m an only child, but I had cousins. And yes, sometimes I wished their gift was for me!
What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
London or New York at Christmas time is on my bucket list. I think one time would be enough though.
Most memorable holiday moment?
It happened three days after Christmas, but I gotta say getting engaged was the best moment of any holiday in my life.
Do you make New Year’s resolutions? Do you stick to them?
I do not.
What makes the holidays special for you?
Spending time with my family and enjoying all the little traditions.
What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
The two weeks off from work. #sorrynotsorry
You have been granted one Christmas wish…what will it be?
Financial security for life so my husband and I could travel.
