Blogmas 2019 | Blogmas TBR Hopefuls

Hello, fellow readers! I usually do not participate in TBR posts because I am such a mood reader, but December can always be an exception because this is the only time of year I want to read Christmas books.

1. One Day in December by Josie Silver

I know I will be reading this for my book club this month. I actually chose this as a Book of the Month pick last year but never actually got around to reading it. I don’t know too much about it other than two people have a chance encounter, maybe at a bus stop, and then years later the guy is dating the girl’s best friend.

2. The Twelve Days of Dash and Lily by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan

I read Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares last year during Thanksgiving break. It was cute and I gave it three stars. Then I discovered there was a sequel and bought it during Book Outlet’s Black Friday sale. Unfortunately, I never got around to reading it last December.

3. My True Love Gave to Me edited by Stephanie Perkins

I read about four or five stories in this last year. It was very hit or miss for me. I would like to finish the book this year, and I will probably listen to the stories on Scribd.

4. NOS4A2 by Joe Hill

This is probably a longshot, but I would like to at least start NOS4A2 this month. I really enjoyed season one of the show, which is apparently only about half of the book. So I would like to read the book before the second season next year. And just in case you aren’t familiar with the book, NOS4A2 is a vampire story that involves a place called Christmasland, so it is considered by many to be a holiday-themed book!

What book(s) do you hope to get to in December? Do you read more or less during the holiday season?
