Tag Tuesday | The Book Snob Tag

Hello, fellow readers! I accidentally took a couple of weeks off from blogging. I spent my Saturday morning catching up on blog posts and reading new content, and I feel ready to come back and start posting. Today I will be doing the Book Snob Book Tag.

Adaptation Snob: Do you always read the book before you see the film?

Yes, probably about 75% of the time.

Format Snob: You can only choose 1 format in which to read books for the rest of your life. Which one do you choose: physical books, eBooks, or audiobooks?

Probably physical books, even though I have finally branched out to eBooks and really love having access to books on my iPhone and iPad. Audiobooks are also awesome when I’m in a slump, but there are certain books I could never listen to, like a mystery/thriller with lots of characters.

Ship Snob: Would you date or marry a non-reader?

Already married one! He has other interests and hobbies though, so we balance each other well.

Genre Snob: You have to ditch one genre – never to be read again for the rest of your life. Which one do you ditch?

I could give up YA. I enjoy some YA from time to time because the books are quick reads, but I could easily give it up.

Uber Genre Snob: You can only choose to read from one genre for the rest of your life. Which genre do you choose?

Community Snob: Which genre do you think receives the most snobbery from the bookish community?

Definitely YA. But I’m interpreting this question differently than most probably. I am answering YA because there are some accounts who only read and review YA. And they think they have to constantly justify their choice and it ends up coming off as snobby (at least it does to me). Read what you want. You don’t have to justify it by putting down other genres. But also don’t be afraid to branch out because you may find you really enjoy other books!

Are you a book snob? Answer one (or all!) of these questions in the comments. Or tag me in your post so I can see your answers!
