    1. I was a little disappointed because not much happens for half the book. The best part was the section with letters back and forth between Roy and Celestial. I think there should have been more of that and less of the middle section fluff.

      1. I find it fascinating that readers have such different reactions to the book. The letters sections were the ones I didn’t care for! Celestial’s letters to Roy were good but his to her were a bit stilted in terms of the language. We talked a lot about this in our book club read and one member who works at a prison said we had to remember that letters would be read by the prison authorities which could have affected Roy’s style. Such a good point
