Hello, fellow readers! I am going to be very honest and tell you September has been a terrible month. I have had alot going on in addition to usual work stress, so reading, even audiobooks, has taken a backseat to life this month. I am hoping things stabilize and return to normal soon, but in the meantime, I thought it would be fun to predict some five star reads on my ever-growing TBR.
1. The Whisper Man by Alex North
The book has been so hyped on bookstagram and the BOTM groups on Facebook. The premise sounds similar to The Chalk Man by C.J. Tudor, but everyone has raved about how creepy this book is! I am hoping to get to it next month, possibly for Spookathon.
2. Recursion by Blake Crouch
I LOVED Dark Matter and many people have compared Recursion to it because of the time travel element. Either way, I’m excited to have my mind blown by Recursion.
3. Vengeful by V.E. Schwab
I enjoyed the first book in the Villains series, Vicious, way more than I expected. The story is kind of like X-Men except I wouldn’t call the main characters superheroes.
4. The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black
After THAT ENDING in The Wicked King, I am expecting a phenomenal conclusion to this series. I never expected to enjoy a fae series as much as I do, but this series is my guilty pleasure.
5. The Passengers by John Marrs
So I kept seeing posts about this book on bookstagram, but nobody was really explaining what it was about. So I saw it in Books-A-Million one day, read the synopsis, and knew it was a book I needed in my life.
What book(s) do you predict to be five star reads? I would love to hear about them!
