This week, booksandlala updated us on her five star TBR predictions, and I was inspired to do the same with my current TBR! You can check out her video here.
So I know everyone (myself included!) says in every post that their TBR is out of control, but mine has snowballed! I am participating in Read What You Own this month, but I’ve only read two books. So I read two books I own, then I ordered from Book Outlet. Twice. And then my two library holds came in on the same day, so I have both of those books to read as well. Needless to say, I have quite a pile of books to read right now.
My goal is to read ten of the twenty or so books I’ve bought recently by the end of the year. I also really need to stay off of Book Outlet, but they sent me a sale code, so I of course had to use it because it was 25% off. Then two books I’ve had my eye on came back in stock and I had had a bad day at school, so I ordered the books. It is truly a problem.
So enough with my rambling and let’s talk about the books I own that I predict will be a five star read for me!
Hidden Bodies by Caroline Kepnes
This has been on my TBR since May or June this year. I don’t know why I keep putting this one off because I know I will love it as much as You.
Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco
This book, along with about 50 others, has been saved for my October TBR this year. So many people in the bookish community have raved about this one, so I feel like I am going to love it.
A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
When this book came back in stock on Book Outlet, I immediately purchased it. Everyone on booktube raves about V.E./Victoria Schwab’s books.
Scythe by Neal Shusterman
I read the first chapter for a read a chapter tag post last month. I already bought the sequel from Book Outlet because I just know I’m going to love it.
The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw
This is another book that is reviewed frequently on booktube and everyone raves about it.
Nightfall by Jake Halpern and Peter Kujawinski
I bought this book in April? May? I forget about it all the time, but I am still convinced I will love it. I don’t think I have ever seen it mentioned in the bookish community though. So this one could actually be a toss up, but the concept sounds really interesting.
So there you have it! These are books from my personal collection only-I did not include books I do not own, such a The Seven Death of Evelyn Hardcastle or The Wicked King (spoiler alert, I predict those will be five star reads as well!). I do plan to do a full post updating you on my verdict for each of these books after I have read them all. At least three of the books would be perfect for October, but who knows how many books I will actually get around to each month these days! Let me know if you have read any of these books and what you rated them!
