Tag Tuesday | The Ultimate Book Tag

Due to my demanding schedule these days, I am reading far less than I did during the summer. Therefore, I have less reviews to write, but I would like to stick to my current posting schedule. Every Tuesday will now be Tag Tuesday! Thriller Thursday will continue with book discussion/lists or reviews on Sunday posts as well. There are so many wonderful book tags out there. If you find a tag you would like me to do, please reply in the comments!

Let’s get started!

The Ultimate Book Tag

Do You Get Sick While Reading In The Car?
As long as I take breaks, I am usually fine to read in the car.

Which Author’s Writing Style Is Completely Unique To You And Why?
Jenny Han. She makes me laugh like no other author and I find her books to be refreshing and light.

Harry Potter or Twilight? Give 3 Reasons Why.
How can you even compare these two? Harry Potter.
1. I grew up with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. I feel like I was at Hogwarts with them.
2. There are great lessons to be learned from this series.
3. Magic > Sparkly Vampires

Do You Carry A Book Bag? If So, What’s In It (Besides Books)?

Do You Smell Your Books?
Not routinely.

Books With or Without Illustrations?
I enjoy both.

What Book Did You Love While Reading, But Discovered Later It Wasn’t Quality Writing?
Divergent by Veronica Roth

Do You Have Any Funny Stories Involving Books From Your Childhood?
Nothing sticks out, but I do remember reading Matilda by Roald Dahl while walking through the mall in December. I think I had gotten the book as a gift and was dragged off shopping. I didn’t want to put it down, so I literally walked down the mall reading a book.

What Is The Thinnest Book On Your Shelf?
Probably the books in my Hogwarts library collection.

What Is the Thickest Book On Your Shelf?
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows or Stephen King’s IT.

Do You Write As Well As Read? Do You See Yourself Being An Author In the Future?
When I was a kid, I was creative and loved writing and drawing. Then AP classes in secondary school squashed all of the creativity out of me. I wish I had a great novel in me.

When Did You Get Into Reading?
In first grade, I was not put in the “top reading group.” I was in the middle reading group. My competitive nature caused me to push myself to read anything and everything I could get my hands on. So I have my least favorite teacher in grade school to thank for my love of reading. I wanted to prove that I belonged in the top reading group and I always wanted to be a four star reader at awards day in May.

What Is Your Favorite Classic Book?
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

What Was Your Best Subject In School?
Math. I took every math class at my high school except discrete math, and now I teach math to middle schoolers!

If You Were Given A Book As A Present That You Read Before And Hated, What Would You Do?
Thank the person who gifted it. And then either trade for another book or donate it to my library.

What Is A Lesser Known Series That You Know Of That Is Similar to Harry Potter or the Hunger Games?
Nothing is similar to Harry Potter, but Mask of Shadows by Linsey Miller is basically The Hunger Games with a gender-fluid character.

What Is A Bad Habit You Always Do (Besides Rambling) While Filming?
I’m not a booktuber.

What Is Your Favorite Word?
I don’t suppose I have one.

Are You A Nerd, Dork, or Dweeb?
Definitely a nerd haha.

Vampires, or Fairies? Why?
Faeries. I’ve never liked vampires, but Twilight completely ruined them for me.

Shapeshifters, or Angels? Why?
Angels because I’ve never read a book with shapeshifters.

Spirits, or Werewolves? Why?
Spirits are scarier.

Zombies, or Vampires? Why?

Love Triangles, or Forbidden Love?
Forbidden love.

Full on Romance Books, or Action-Packed With A Few Love Scenes?
Action packed with very few love scenes.
