Tag Tuesday | Mid-Year Book Freakout

I have been seeing this tag everywhere on booktube, so I thought it would be fun to do on my blog! Here are all the books I have read this year:

Questions

Best book you’ve read so far in 2018?

This is so hard! I am going to go with You by Caroline Kepnes because it captured my attention from beginning to end.

Best sequel you’ve read so far in 2018?

I have not read a sequel yet.

New release you haven’t read yet, but want to?

So many to choose from! I’ve heard The Death of Mrs. Westaway by Ruth Ware is her best work so far, so I need to read that.

Most anticipated release for the second half of 2018?

I am looking forward to The 7 and 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton.

Biggest disappointment?

Caraval by Stephanie Garber. I hated it so much.

Biggest surprise?

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. I did not expect to like a book about faeries.

Favourite new author?

I will read anything with Ruth Ware’s name on it.

Newest fictional crush?

I don’t have one.

Newest favourite character?

Lara Jean from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before!

Book that made you cry?

I do not read sad books.

Book that made you happy?

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. SO cute!

Favourite book to movie adaptation you saw this year?

I have only seen Annihilation and Electric Dreams, but I haven’t read the source material for either.

Favourite review you’ve written this year?

Something in the Water by Catherine Steadman

Most beautiful book you bought so far this year?

I really like the cover for Stalking Jack the Ripper.

What books do you need to read by the end of the year?

Too many to name! I really want to try a Sarah J. Maas book, but there never seems to be enough time! I’ve also been meaning to read The Night Circus.

That’s it for the mid-year freak out tag! I would love to hear some of your most anticipated reads. Thanks for reading!

  1. Great tag! I’m glad you like Lara Jean because I’m planning to re-read To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before soon because I read it three years ago and I don’t remember much about it. One of Us Is Lying also sounds like a great read. I just discovered your blog and I enjoy your posts 🙂 Happy reading!
