Just about every TV show has a holiday or Christmas special. When I am burnt out on Christmas movies, or just need something shorter to fill the silence with, I turn to these holiday episodes of some of my favorite TV shows. This is definitely not a traditional list, but these are the Christmas episodes that stick out in my memory.
Holiday shopping. You either love it or hate it. I honestly don’t think there is an inbetween. I hate it because let’s be honest-most of the people we buy for want/need nothing. But if you are struggling for some last minute gift ideas for your bookish friend or family member, I am here for you today! There are ideas for every budget here: my bookish gift ideas start as low as $9.69!
I can’t let the holiday season pass by without watching all of my favorite feel-good movies at least once (or twice or three times!). Most of these movies are not that good, but I grew up watching them, so I feel a sense of nostalgia whenever it is time to bring them out in November and December. And is it just me, or have we not gotten as many Christmas movies in recent years, except for cheesy Hallmark movies?
Hello, fellow readers! It has been several hours since I finished An Anonymous Girl, and I finally feel like I am able to put my thoughts in to words. I am sad to say that I missed Hendricks and Pekkanen’s debut release, The Wife Between Us, but I will definitely be adding it to my TBR after finishing their second book.
I was provided an ARC of this title from St. Martin’s Press in exchange for my honest review.
Happy Blogmas Day 3! Today is technically Tag Tuesday, so I will be doing the ‘Tis the Season Tag. This tag is super relaxed but a bit on the short side.
Happy first day of Blogmas! Today I will be talking about my reading plans for Blogmas. I am not calling this a readathon, but essentially this month is about to be a mad dash to fit in as many feel good Christmas-y books while also reading a couple of books I want to read before 2019.
I can not take credit for Blogmas, but I will take credit for my 12 Days of Blogmas! This year I have chosen 12 of my favorite Christmas-themed prompts and compiled them in to a 12 Days of Blogmas Challenge! Please let me know if you would like to join in on the fun with me this year by linking your blog or other social media account below! I would love to check out your posts as well!
Today’s post is the second part of my Overcoming a Reading Slump series! Today I will be giving you some tips on overcoming a reading slump when you just can’t seem to get motivated to pick up a book. I will be taking a week off from posts during the week of Thanksgiving, but regularly scheduled posts will be back beginning Tuesday, November 27!
Happy Tag Tuesday! I found this “Three Bookish Things” tags over at Jamsudreams, so please go check out their original post!
Ahh the reading slump. It happens to us all at some point or another. There are different reading slumps: a book hangover, which happens after you finish a really good book that you hated to see end or a slump when you can’t find anything that captures your interest. Part one of this two part series will focus on getting over a book hangover.
