Hello, fellow readers! I recently started using Edelweiss more and was able to get a review copy of The Return by Rachel Harrison last week from Berkley. I was in the mood for a creepy story (always!), so I had high hopes going in to this one despite the mixed reviews.
Hello, fellow readers! Welcome to my worst reading wrap up in this extra long year of 2020! I think we all had the same worries and concerns about the world in March, so I won’t rehash that here, but I did manage to finish four books. Unfortunately, I did not have any five star read and kind of hated most of the books I did finish.
Hello, fellow readers! I hope you all are well and finding ways to keep yourself occupied during the COVID-19 quarantine. I am on week two and finding it difficult to be motivated each day. I am falling into somewhat of a routine of waking up, having my coffee, then doing a workout (at home!). After that, I take a shower and eat lunch. The afternoons are when I start to go stir crazy. Ironically, I feel the most motivated at night after about 8:00. I guess I start to feel remorse or guilt for not doing anything productive. Continue reading “Discussion | WWW Wednesday #1”
Hello, fellow readers! It has been quite some time since I have written a book review. It has also been quite some time since I’ve finished a book that I enjoyed as well. I was sent a copy of The Honey-Don’t List by Christina Lauren through Netgalley. The publisher was kind enough to reach out to me after I read In Five Years. Given the state of the world recently, I was in need of some lighter reading, so I decided to start this one at the beginning of my spring break.
Hello, fellow readers! It has been couple of weeks since I checked in. It is hard to feel motivated to keep up a reading blog when I haven’t really been reading much and haven’t been enjoying what I am reading. I know we are all dealing with some stress and anxiety over COVID-19 or the coronavirus, and I am by no means blaming that for my lack of content or reading, but it has affected my ability to focus on reading right now.
Hello, fellow readers! February started out so strong, and then I didn’t read for a solid week. I finished six books this month, but I think I could have read at least two more if I hadn’t take a week off from reading. I’m currently in the middle of two books I started this past week, and I pretty much knew by Thursday there was no way I would finish either of them.
Hello, fellow readers! I don’t remember where I saw this tag, but I saved the prompts in a draft and completely forgot about it until now! Netgalley is one of my favorite ways to request ARCs, even though sometimes I’m denied for an eARC and will get the physical ARC if I request it from the publisher. *shrug* I have written a series on requesting ARCs if you are interested or have not heard of Netgalley before.
Hello, fellow readers! I made a goal to not only catch up on my BOTM backlist but to read my monthly pick sooner, preferably the month I pick it. I was successful in January because I chose The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James, which was one of my most anticipated books of 2020. Everyone was talking about this book, so I picked it up the last week of January and was immediately hooked.

Hello, fellow readers! In the spirit of the Valentine’s Day season, I thought I would share some of my favorite romance books. I don’t read much romance, but usually when I do pick one up, it ends up being a good one!
Hello, fellow readers! I fell in love with The Cruel Prince two years ago and devoured the entire series. This series is far from perfect and I can only describe it as a fae soap opera that you keep tuning in to because you want to see what ridiculous thing will happen next.
Spoilers ahead because it was kind of unavoidable, plus I needed to get all my thoughts out there for discussion!
